New Year's Day ~ 2013
In the wee small hours, of a brand new first of the 2013 year's morning, that's the time to surround ourselves in family love, to ponder, and reflect on the incredible possibilities and promises of new beginnings.
It calls for a quiet start to the dawn of this new day, with the family circled round the breakfast table, everyone that is with the exception of one who worked the night shift, and just could not for all his might, rise from his slumber to join us. Completely understood though.
As snow fell, this simple celebration, was fulfilled by partaking of good old fashioned (French Canadian grandmother's recipe) crepes, and freshly (oh so yummy fresh!) squeezed orange juice.
Toasting to new beginnings...
...and then, once the meal was devoured, all sat resting a spell for a time, to chat, and focus on the new horizons ahead.
"We will open the book.
Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."
