Isn't it funny how a family birthday celebration happens whether or not the birthday person is present or not? No? Not in your home?

Well, you have no idea about our family then, we are a weird bunch here in the east, celebrating our oldest daughter's birthday without her even being present for such an occasion.

Thank you Alyse dear, we had chocolate cake in honor of your special 31st birthday on January 3rd as we told you, and you can see it all here. When we called to sing you our usual traditional birthday greeting, this is what we were eating...in your honor for sure.
