Happy day to Fathers!

As you like it!

Happy Father's Day!

The daily ritual of taking a morning coffee onto the front porch steps has become a tradition over the course of the past week, especially with the warmth of the sun radiating upon us with high heat very early in the morning. It is when sitting here the porch pillars protect from a morning breeze whipping within the trees nearby, and while multitasking by getting the watering chore complete for the newly sprinkled grass seed, sipping the freshly brewed java soothes the senses and settles the mind before the hubbub of the day begins with a vengeance.

When this ritual is complete and the coffee savored, this daddy (in the photo above) moves indoors to avoid possibilities of the afternoon humidity for most of the remains of the day. After a week of sunshine and great summer weather, we noticed on the weather website, we're in for another week with highs in the nineties. Heh, children, let's get the chairs in to the van for some beachside relaxation! There's nothing like the fresh air near the sea to ease the heavier humidity or omit seasonal allergy issues.

Meanwhile, this is a "blog greeting" for the day....to our fathers, and to my husband from his children;

Dad, thank you!

Thank you for the laughter,
For the good times that we share,
Thanks for always listening,
And taking the time to care.

Thank you for your comfort,
When things are going bad,
Thank you for the shoulder,
To cry on when I'm sad.

This poem is a reminder that
All my life through,
I'll be thanking Heaven
For a Special Dad like you."

Happy Father's Day to my hubby, and both of our fathers as well. Know we're thinking of you both, praying you also have a great day and enjoying fair weather.
