A very special day!

A very special day!

Celebrating her First Holy Communion

Today is “Trinity Sunday”, (also otherwise known as Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity), such an important feast day within the liturgical cycle of the church. Surrounding this Sunday are two other very important feast days, Pentecost and Corpus Christi, how good this time of year is for all.

What a perfect day to have family and friends enjoy a spectacular lunchtime potluck after church, and a specially designed cake giving honor to the eight children making their First Holy Communion together. Six hours later, we are home, in awe of the beauty and blessings this special day has graced us all with, particularly our young daughter.

John 6:32, 51-52: "Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven... I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is My Flesh, for the life of the world."
