Special Photo Moments
The humidity and heat factors are creating much frustration today, thus rather than attend our own church's usual timing, we opted for an early departure to a a different church a distance away to offer a reprieve to someone in dire need of it.
In honor of the Solemnity Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was actually yesterday on August 15th, we wanted to capture photos near the church's outdoor grotto area before entering the church.
Normally in the month of May I try to catch photos near a grotto somewhere, this year there were none as I hadn't found anything remotely large enough or accessible enough to complete the traditional goal. As I fumbled along to get my camera from my purse, a passerby offered to take a photo of all of us together, right next to the "secret garden" grotto area of this very old heritage church. Who says spontaneity doesn't offer its just rewards?
Our super spontaneous photo opportunity offered a "chance" timing for getting the family together, a first, and when it came time for individual photos? Well, a few had already disappeared in the hubbub of entering the church.
We are very pleased with these though, special photo moments to keep in our hearts forever as were the general moods of all family members this day, still filled with a happy festive flair from the beautiful feasting yesterday.
