"All the leaves are brown....and the sky is gray"

Seasonal changes are occurring faster than the speed of sound in our general area.
After a good leaf raking last weekend, the landscape is becoming fairly brown, gray, bleak and barren outside this window.
Rushing winds no longer offer nature's wondrous musical lilt, with leaves rustling and branches swaying in rhythm to their melodic beats.
Instead, this week we experienced 60km winds and the sounds of their ferocious charge ripping through our forest, branches breaking in the background, a new winter tune for the season to come. Thank goodness we downed those 40 very tall, precariously leaning trees last spring!
