When all else fails....
When our young daughter enjoys a crafty inspirational idea moment, she doesn't hesitate to get on with a new project. Recently when one of those artistic moments tempted her, she soon realized all of our craft supplies yet to be unpacked and are all still packed away in boxes. When all else fails and her inspirations continued to grasp at her for attention, she remembered she had a wee box of wax crayons from a recent visit to a restaurant. With five wax crayons, on broken in half, she was not deterred with her artsy ideas and instead she was able to write her love notes and cards.
Not long afterwards she discovered her pencil box, forgotten in her knapsack and began rejoicing over the fact she now had more color choice options for more crafting on snowy days.
I suppose mother here might get it together soon and get those crafting supplies out of the boxes, but until then it always amazes me when children are most grateful with simple finds...when all else fails.
