St. George
"Liberator of captives,
and defender of the poor,
physician of the sick,
and champion of kings,
O trophy-bearer,
and Great Martyr George,
intercede with
Christ our God that
our souls be saved."
Here we are celebrating the feast day of St. George. A smile crosses my face often when correlating this day to our son's birthday. His childhood years while growing up were filled with many moments dressed in various time period fighter gear, steadily becoming a valiant defender of our home front, and brave fighter of many battles. There were no dragons to slay, just Adam and his soldier friends who provided plenty of entertainment for the whole neighborhood.
