All Soul's Day

On November 2nd, we honor the Feast of All Souls.

Listening to the weather forecast early this morning, it says we are supposedly expecting quite a bit of snow to fall upon us today. Soon after it was broadcast, I quickly donned my shoes and jacket to take a jaunt outdoors, in search of the last remaining flowers in the garden, to create a display and adorn with a candle which will burn throughout the day, to remember our dearly departed, those we love and miss.

Eternal rest grant to them,
O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
rest in peace.

Amen
